Newfoundland Labrador Basketball Association: Tournaments

Grade 7 & 8 Tip-off Tournament - December 8-10, 2023

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA) will be hosting the “2023 NLBA December Tip-off” on December 8-10, 2023, at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre, 100 Crosbie Road, St. John’s.  The tournament will be modified double elimination, 3 games guarantee and will be run under all the Minor Rules (5 on 5 off.) for grade 7 and 8.

The tournament is open to the first eight grade 7 teams in both male and female tournaments and the first grade 8 teams in both the male and female genders.  Each school will be permitted to put in one team per gender and grade, other teams from the school would be put on a wait list as well as younger teams (e.g., Grade 6) will be put on a wait list.

The deadline to enter the NLBA December Invitational is November 17, 2023.  All fees must accompany the registration form. Team registration fees are set at $390.

The NLBA has a new registration system for Tournaments please read the following instructions:

1) Go to the NLBA Programs registration page (click button below)

2) Log in or Create an account, if you have an account with RAMP from other sports or programs you can use that same log in.

3) Select Tournament Registration

4)Complete all required information

5)On the final page select payment method and hit submit.

Please note: You will go back into this system to edit or make any adjustments to your rosters. Your rosters MUST be completely filled out 2 weeks prior to the tournament (Nov 24th). All fields are mandatory to be competed. You will not be given a spot in the tournament without a fully completed roster.
